Education has always been an integral part of the Foundation’s mission. Fellowships support post-residency training for promising oral and maxillofacial surgeons pursuing a career in academic oral and maxillofacial surgery. Fellowships provide the opportunity for young surgeons to develop specialized surgical skills and to broaden knowledge, experience, and judgment in areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Those selected for a one-year fellowship are required to spend two years on the staff of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency-training program.
Clinical Surgery Fellowship
Those selected for a one-year fellowship make a commitment to spend two years on the staff of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency-training program thus disseminating the information and skills they have acquired to the next generation of surgeons. There is no longer a year two application. To be considered for funding, you will need to complete a new application each year. The deadline to apply for fellowships for 2015 funding is July 15, 2014. An updated application will be posted soon.
For your information, view the 2013 application.
